Web Publishing and Storage

Today we viewed the scholars spring education 2201-04 list and edited the list. We looked at the activites page to learn that is where we go if we are absent a class. We looked at an example of a teachers website to learn about her and what her class is doing. We overviewed Intel Thinking Technology and saved the website as a bookmark in delicious. We learned how to upload a document from Microsoft Word.

What are three places to save a document? Explain the pros and cons of each one.

1. Desktop

P-- Can have it for your personal computer

C-- The file can not be found anywhere else and can not access it

2. Network drive U:// or virtual drives

P-- Can have file on any computer within the network area

C-- The file can not be accessed from any other computer outside of network

3. Google Documents

P-- The file can be accessed from any computer

C-- The computer has to have internet in order to acces the document.

4. Thumb drive

P-- Easy, small device that can be taken anywhere and plugged into computer.

C-- The device can be lost.
